Here is a little overwiev about the upcoming events. More details can be found by clicking on the links in the menu on the left hand side.

2017 sees the return of one of the most asked for teacher: Siobhán O’Donnell will join the teacher’s panel again in 2017.
So our tutorial team for 2017 will include Siobhán O’Donnell, Aimee Farrell-Courtney, Martin O’Neill, Cormac Byrne, Jim Higgins, Colm Phelan, Robbie Walsh and Rolf Wagels. To read more about the teachers, follow this link.

After a great success in previous years, we continued the new teaching module called “The Craiceann Masterclass”. This is in addition to our normal range of seven classes from Beginner to Advanced. It is being introduced in response to suggestions from our tutors that there is now a need for a professional level teaching experience targeted at that small number of people who are currently playing and performing at the very highest level. Participation in the Masterclass is by invitation only. All details can be found at “The Classes” page.

We will have two great concerts: Donal Lunny will return to Inis Oirr after the great success of his involvement last year and so one of the concerts will be by Donal Lunny and friends.
The other concert will sport THE up and coming band of 2016, a band that is taking the scene by storm: Ìmar!

The three workshops/lectures which will take place during the day between classes will be given by Mícheál O’hÁlmháin himself, Prof. Mel Mercier, Chair of Performing Arts at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick and by Stevie Moises, tippermaker, drummer and bodhrán player.

Stevie Moises will bring his mobile lathe and a selection of woods, so he will be able to turn any tippers to your liking! He will be working in his workshop during the week and will be available for chats and tipper talk.
Bodhrán maker Christian Hedwitschak will bring a selection of drums and he will also be available during the week.
